Chances are you found your way to our website because you are in the process of planning a celebration. So let me start by saying “Congratulations!”
With a background in both fashion and business, I didn’t immediately choose event planning as my career. However, I quickly realized that an eye for design and savvy business skills both lend themselves perfectly to the events world. After working for several years for two event planning companies in Pittsburgh, I decided it was time to take the leap and Olive & Rose Events was born!
I believe what sets me apart is my experience, amazing relationships with vendors and an innate love for what I do. I want my clients to become friends and I want them to feel 100% confident on their wedding day that the details are all being handled!
I live in the South Hills of Pittsburgh with my husband and five-year old son, Arlo, and another baby boy on the way! Yes, there is a (really) good chance you will catch me crying during the Mother – Son dance. I enjoy Pure Barre, trying new restaurants and cookies and brownies are my love language. Seriously. I have no self-control.

Hi, Susy here! After 5+ plus years on the Olive + Rose Events team, I still can’t believe that my work allows me to create beautiful moments and celebrate with couples on one of the most important days of their lives!
I love working with people to design and execute their vision and firmly believe that making the perfect wedding day timeline is an art form. If we work together you can expect enthusiasm, empathy, and a meticulousness that allows you to experience your wedding day with the confidence that things are well in hand.
I live in the city of Pittsburgh with my husband, and two little girls. They’re magical, wild and keep me on my toes. I enjoy spending time with my family at the Carnegie Museum of Art, watching cheesy romantic movies, and doing hands-on volunteer work in my community. I love and value working with couples from a wide variety of backgrounds and celebrate love in all its diverse forms!

Meet Shelby
After earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Event Management from the University of Florida, I made the move from Florida to Pittsburgh! I have been loving Pittsburgh ever since and have worked at several award-winning venues including museums and historic buildings planning events.
Weddings are my ultimate passion and I love being a part of such an important occasion in someone’s life. I believe my energetic attitude and attention to detail lends perfectly with event planning. My favorite part of events is seeing a client’s face light up when their vision is finally brought to reality!
I live in Downtown Pittsburgh with my husband and our Corgi named Cheddar. I love attending city events, trying new restaurants, and taking Cheddar on adventures. Whenever you see me, I will always have a huge smile on my face - you can tell I truly love what I do!

Meet Kristy
Lead Event Planner
Coming from a big Italian family who loves to throw parties, I feel like event planning came naturally to me as an adult.
Since moving to Pittsburgh in 2012, I have been lucky enough to work with many different organizations and plan events all throughout the city. From fundraising galas to children's events at the Pittsburgh Pirates, it has been exciting to be part of the planning process from start to finish and see it all come to life. Being able to join an event company like Olive & Rose has been a professional goal come true!
When I am not working, I am spending time with my little family usually eating at one of the great restaurants in Pittsburgh. I also love watching new and old episodes of Saturday Night Live and if you're lucky enough I will recite all the best skits from the show.
